How do I see the films? What format are the films for download in?

How do I see the films? What format are the films for download in?
The films can be viewed on our web-site (for 100Rs./2.00US$) or they can be downloaded (for 200Rs. / 4.00US$). Once downloaded, you can watch the films on any computer (PC or MAC) or a media player. The films are in .mpg format that can be played by any media player.

How long does it take to download?
Each film is approximately 150 Mb in size. Download time for each film can range from under 10 minutes to an hour depending on the internet speed at your end.

Can I share it with my friends?
Please do not spread free copies of this film or upload it on the internet.
We rely on sales to help us make films and to raise funds for children in need.
Please buy extra passwords of this film and gift it to your friends.

How do I organize a screening of these films in my city / area?
If you belong to an organization, club, school, group and would like to show our films to a larger audience in your area
please send an e-mail to: support@filmkaar.com with the subject of e-mail as "SCREENING"
We can send you a high quality DVD of the films for screening purpose. Minimum revenue expectation is Rs 50 per person from at least 50 people.

I don’t know which organization to support / The NGO I support is not mentioned / ?
Each of our partner non-profits has been chosen by a careful selection procedure. You can choose any of them to support or select the “Can’t decide” option to let us choose the non-profit that needs your funds the most.

For on-line payments in Indian Rupees we only accept:
Visa (only Indian Credit Cards), Net Banking, All Debit Cards, Cash Card & Mobile Payment options for your website.

For Payment in US $ you can pay through
Credit cards of: Visa / Delta / Electron/ MasterCard / Eurocard / PayPal Top Up Card /Maestro /Solo / American Express
Debit cards (also known as bank cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo

If you are uncertain whether you have been charged for a download, you can:
Check your inbox (and any spam/junk folder) for an emailed receipt. You should expect a receipt for every purchase from us in 24 Hrs from the time of purchase

If you are still uncertain whether your transaction completed successfully, you should contact our support team


Do I get a receipt with my downloads?
On successful payment you should automatically receive a confirmation email receipt from us.
If the message does not appear in your inbox, you may wish to check your spam/junk folder.


Do I need to re-purchase the films in order to download them again?
The password you get on purchase is valid for 14 days from day of purchase. After 14 Days you will have to re-purchase
the films if you wish to wish to view or download them.

There's something wrong with my download. If I buy it again, will I get a refund for my original purchase?
Re-purchasing a download is very unlikely to solve the problem that you have encountered.
If you have any difficulty with a download, please contact our Customer Support team before you do anything else.

No, we do not store the credit card details.


Will I be charged before or after I download the track that I have purchased?
You will be charged for your download at the time of purchase.


I have a Download password gifted to me. How do I redeem it?
You can use the password to get the films from the download page of our web-site www.magicfeather.filmkaar.com
1. Enter the download password in the password field
2. Also enter your e-mail id. (just for our records to help us avoid piracy)

Once it is accepted by our system the View or Download button next to each film will become active.
Please note that the view / download password is only valid for 14 days from the day of purchase

How long does the partnership last?

How is the money distributed?
For every customer who selects your non-profit we donate 25% of the revenue (almost half the profits) to your organization
(For e.g.: Typically for a 100 Rs sale, Filmkaar gets 25 Rs. and selected non-profit gets 25 Rs. the rest is for govt. tax (30%) and operational costs.
The total money any non profit earns depends on the number of customers who choose to support that non-profit. Please check our Blog. At the end of every quarter we post the amount of contribution made by us to each of our non-profit partners.

How do you ensure transparency?
Every download password for our films has a unique code for each of our partnering NGOs. Our partner NGOs can track every transaction that happens in their support.
Also at the end of each month a list of people who downloaded the films using passwords with the NGO’s unique code is sent to the NGO.

When can the non-profit expect the Money?
We send out payments to all our non-profit partners at the end of each quarter. (Mar, Jun, Sept and Dec)

How do you choose the Non-profit organizations to partner with?
We have a rigorous selection procedure through reference check s and a core team that researches various non-profits working with children to the identify the right fit.

How can my non-profit organization partner with you?
Addition of Non-profits is subject to availability of slots. At any given time we do not partner with more than 7 non-profit organizations.
To submit and enquiry please send an email with the subject "PARTNERSHIP" to support@filmkaar.com along with details of your organization’s work, web-site and contact details of the fund raising / management head of your organization.

How long does the partnership last?
Our partnership deal is for 3 months. At the end of 3 months we can re-evaluate a non-profits partnership depending on sales generated for that particular non-profit.
